Dr Victor Chia originally hails from Singapore and came to Adelaide for tertiary studies. He graduated from University of Adelaide in 2009 and has worked at various tertiary hospitals in South Australia including Flinders Medical Centre, The Queen Elizabeth Hospital and Lyell McEwin Hospital.

He has previously completed a Clinical Fellowship in Echocardiography at Flinders Medical Centre and is proficient in all forms of Echocardiography including stress echocardiograms and transoesophageal echocardiograms. He also has a strong interest in CT Coronary Imaging and holds level A accreditation for CTCA.

Dr Chia’s expertise extends beyond general cardiology and he has a special interest in the management of ischaemic heart disease, valvular heart disease and heart failure.

He believes in providing patient focused care and is dedicated in his profession. He regularly attends state based and international conferences to keep himself up to date with the latest in evidence based practice for Cardiology. In his free time, he enjoys playing badminton and spending quality time with his family.
