Dr Chacko is a Clinical and Interventional Cardiologist.
Sujith graduated from Christian Medical College, Vellore, India in 1996. Following his Physician training (MD- Internal medicine) and a three-year tenure as Consultant Physician, he completed Cardiology advanced training (DM- Cardiology), a rigorous cardiac and vascular interventional training and then worked as Associate Professor at CMC Vellore. He moved to Adelaide, Australia in 2013, worked at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital and was awarded FRACP in Cardiology in 2015. He completed a Fellowship in Interventional Cardiology at the Royal Adelaide Hospital in 2016.
His Clinical Cardiology experience is widespread across multiple subspecialities. His interventional expertise is in complex coronary interventions guided by coronary physiology and imaging, structural cardiac interventions, and in endovascular aortic and peripheral vascular interventions. His non-invasive cardiac imaging expertise include trans-thoracic and transesophageal echocardiograms in adults and often uses them to guide interventional procedures.
He works as staff specialist – Consultant Interventional Cardiologist at the Lyell McEwin Hospital NALHN. He has multiple publications in peer-reviewed international journals in Cardiology and is actively involved in teaching medical students and advanced trainees. He practices privately also at Windsor Gardens, Gawler, Ardrossan and Whyalla.
He is a compassionate and experienced cardiologist who believes in holistic care of the patients and focuses on evidence-based practices to achieve excellent outcomes.
