Dr. Andien Munawar is a cardiologist specializing in arrhythmias and cardiac implantable electronic devices (CIEDs).

She earned her medical degree from the University of Indonesia, Jakarta, in 2006. She then completed her cardiology training at the University of Indonesia and the National Cardiac Centre Harapan Kita in 2013, followed by a fellowship in interventional cardiology in Indonesia in 2014. She pursued further specialization in cardiac electrophysiology and pacing at the Royal Adelaide Hospital from 2015 to 2018 and was recognized as a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in 2020.

In September 2020, Andien completed her doctoral thesis at The University of Adelaide, focusing on factors influencing clinical outcomes of cardiac implantable devices to enhance patient outcomes after implantation.

Currently, she practices at Lyell McEwin Hospital and Western HeartCare, providing care for a full spectrum of cardiac conditions in both public and private settings. She is also actively involved in the education of cardiology registrars, junior doctors, and medical students through the University of Adelaide.
