Dr Alvin Quah is a cardiac electrophysiologist with a comprehensive background in cardiology.

A graduate of the University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia, Jing further honed his expertise through rigorous training at the University of Sunshine Coast and the prestigious Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane, Queensland. His commitment to advancing his knowledge and skills led him to undertake an electrophysiology and PhD fellowship at Flinders Medical Centre from 2020 to 2022. Following this, he expanded his experience with a two-year electrophysiology fellowship abroad in Halifax, Nova Scotia, from 2022 to 2024.

Jing’s achievements include being a recipient of the National Heart Foundation Health Professional Scholarship in 2020 and the Flinders University PhD Scholarship in the same year. He is currently completing his PhD with the College of Medicine and Public health, Flinders University.

He is a prolific contributor to the field of cardiology, having co-authored over 25 cardiovascular manuscripts and presented his research at numerous local and international conferences. Currently also serving as a visiting electrophysiologist at Cairns Base Hospital, Jing specializes in cardiac device implantations, including pacemakers, implantable cardiac defibrillators, and cardiac resynchronization therapies.

His expertise extends to advanced ablation procedures for various arrhythmias, such as atrial fibrillation, supraventricular tachycardias, atrial flutters, and ventricular tachycardias. With his passion for cardiology and dedication to patient care, Alvin Quah continues to make significant contributions to the field, helping to improve the lives of those affected by cardiac conditions.
